Judge Shayne Sexton processed several plea agreements recently, during sessions in Claiborne Criminal Court.

Christopher L. Gilbert, 30, charged with conspiracy to introduce drugs into a penal institution, was sentenced to five years at 35 percent confinement. Gilbert was given credit for any jail time served from Aug. 10 to Nov. 6. This case runs concurrently with prior ones.

Larry Dean Bolden, 29, charged with conspiracy to introduce drugs into a penal institution, was sentenced to three years at 30 percent confinement. Bolden was given credit for 88 days of jail time already served. This case runs concurrently with all prior ones.

Christina Schettler, 32, charged with conspiracy to introduce drugs into a penal institution, was sentenced to a split confinement of four years TDOC supervised probation with 30 days confinement. Schettler was given credit for any jail time served from Aug. 14 to Aug. 17. She is required to pay court costs.

Cynthia Rosales, 29, charged with attempted introduction of oxymorphone into a penal institution and possession of oxymorphone (a schedule II controlled substance), was sentenced to a concurrent two years TDOC supervised probation. Rosales must pay at least $100 per month in court costs including a $750 fine. She was ordered to remain in and successfully complete the inpatient drug rehabilitation treatment program in which she is currently enrolled.

Reece Anthony Brooks, 49, charged with possession of methamphetamine (a schedule II drugs), was sentenced to six months confinement on the reduced charge of attempted possession of methamphetamine. Brooks was given credit for 72 days of jail time already served.

Jason Osceola, 45, was charged with possession of oxymorphone ( a schedule II controlled substance) and clonazepam (a schedule IV controlled substance) with the intent to sell, simple possession of marijuana ( a schedule VI controlled substance) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Osceola was sentenced to a split confinement of six years unsupervised probation with 14 days confinement on the one count of possession of oxymorphone with the intent to sell. The remaining counts are nolle. He must pay all costs, fines and contributions in full by Feb. 26. The monetary obligations include a $2,000 fine, court costs and a $2,500 contribution to the New Tazewell Police Department Drug Fund.

Robert Fowlkes, 33, charged with the sale and delivery of a schedule III controlled substance, was sentenced to two years TDOC supervised probation on the reduced charge of sale of a schedule III drugs. Fowlkes was given credit for 22 days of jail time already served. He must pay at least $100 per month in court costs and a $2,000 fine.
