CLAIBORNE COUNTY - Due to weather in the area, Claiborne County Government will be opening two hours late on Wednesday, January 12, 2010 due to the weather that has already hit the area and the weather that is being predicted for the area.

At a meeting on Tuesday, January 11 at the Office of Emergency Management in Claiborne County during a webinar the National Weather Service is predicting another two inches of snow for the area in the next 24 hours.

The winter weather advisory has been extended into Tuesday night and will end at 7:00 PM.

Our area should expect to see another one to two inches of snow into Wednesday and after that one inches of less are expected.

According to the NWS, we should see a refreezing tonight into tomorrow due to the wind chill value expected around 10 degrees.

Winds tonight are expected at 10 to 15 miles per hour throughout Wednesday and Thursday they are expecting the winds to relax.
