“It is an absolute honor to be representing the Third District of Tennessee,” Fleischmann said Friday in a small meet and greet.
He discussed several areas that he is going to be working hard on and one of those areas is bringing jobs back to the area.
“Small business committee has really got me excited,” he said, “I want to see people get back to work. People need jobs and when a person has a job they take care of their family, they pay their taxes, they go to church and tithe, everything comes together really good.”
He said with the business that is growing in the south counties, he would make sure it comes to the north counties.
“I’m going to make sure that the growth that is going on in the south is happening up here,” he said.
Mayor Jack Daniels asked, “When will the four lane from Maynardville to Tazewell be completed, if you can’t answer it now, call me back when you have an answer,”
“I know it’s a real important road for you all but I don’t think it has been started yet,” Fleischmann replied. “Road building an infrastructure is important to me and something the Federal government ought to do.”
Fleischmann told the group that he would discuss the issue with TDOT.
Mayors Wayne Jessie of Tazewell and Bill Fultz of Harrogate also discussed issues with him on road infrastructure and a waste management facility in Harrogate.
Fleischmann promised that he would be visiting the county often and looks forward to meeting everyone.
