The Walters State Community College Ag Club Winter 2008 Horse Series offers three events for roping fans. All events are held at the Walters State Great Smoky Mountains Expo Center in White Pine.

Team roping practice will be held 6:30-10 p.m. on Feb. 12. The cost is $25 per roper. If you do not rope, you may bring your horse into the arena for only $10 beginning at 5 p.m. There is no charge for spectators.

Team roping will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16. The entry fee is $20 with a 60 percent payback on all classes. USTRC numbers will be used and organizers reserve the right to classify ropers who are not numbered. A $10 buyback is available. Spectators will be admitted free. The Ag Club Winter 2008 Horse Series is sponsored by Jefferson Federal and Century 21 Masengill-McCrary Realtors/Masengill Auction Company. The series is organized by agriculture students with the help of agriculture alumni.
