The Claiborne High School Lady Bulldogs were honored for their hard work at their sports banquet. The girls had a great season.
Coaches Michelle Moor and Whitney Bailey praised the girls and thanked the parents for their support. The girls were saddened to learn that Coach Bailey will not be returning next season. Ms. Moor will take over as head coach. She hopes to help the girls make it to the district tournament next year.
Awards were handed out by the coaches. They included:
Most Improved Player (JV) - Heather Vanover
Most Improved Player (Varsity) - Joy Beeler
Most Valuable Players - Stefanie Bundren and Caitlin England
Best Defensive Player - Katie Reed
Best Offensive Player - Alyssa Nickell
Most Team Spirit - Julia Miracle
Most Versatile Player - Jenna Wertz
