Two early morning burglaries in Harrogate landed two Claiborne County men in jail.
Joshua Jennings 19, and Steven Hunley 20, both of Harrogate broke into Tammy's Hair Salon and Harrogate Barber shop between 1 and 2 a.m. Thursday morning May 1. Claiborne County Deputy James Martin and Lt. John Collins tracked the men from the scene of the two burglaries to an apartment upstairs above the two businesses, all located in the same building. When the officers knocked on the apartment door Jennings answered the door and invited the officers in. The stolen property was in plain view. Both have been lodged in Claiborne County Jail charged with burglary. Most of the property has been recovered and returned to their rightful owners. Property was estimated at over $2,000 These two men along with 19 others have been arrested and charged with burglaries. All have allegedly been related to drug use.
