The battle between the states was held Saturday, April 12 at Hillcrest Lanes, in Harrogate. Lee won by a total of 328 pins over Harrogate. Lee's total was 7,289 pins and to 6,961 pins for Harrogate.

High game was rolled by Wayne Wade (258), and Dan Evans (235), of Harrogate.

High series was rolled by Jim Liford (643) of Harrogate followed by Frank Jessee of Lee county.
