Claiborne County Rescue Squad Bass Tournament Results

The Claiborne County Rescue Squad Seventh Annual Bass Fishing Tournament was held on April 12, at Norris Lake-Cedar Grove Marina on Hwy. 33 South. Fifty-five boats entered the tournament, resulting in a weigh-in of over 250 pounds of fish at the end of the day. Winners of the tournament were:

  • 1st Prize - $900: Arlie Napier (Boat #33) - weight 16.56 lbs.

  • 2nd Prize - $500: Tyke Gordon and Robert Gordon (Boat #52) - weight 16.55 lbs.

  • 3rd Prize - $350: L.D. Rosenbalm and Jim Rosenbalm (Boat #22) - weight 14.65 lbs.

  • 4th Prize - $100: Jeremy Gordon and Phillip Gordon (Boat #20) - weight 10.96 lbs.

    L.D. Rosenbalm and Jim Rosenbalm won big fish with a weight of 4.94 lbs. Next years' tournament will be held on April 11, 2009 - mark your calendar!

    The Rescue Squad would like to thank those who fished the tournament as well as all sponsors of the tournament. Special thanks to Cedar Grove Marina who hosted the tournament.

    The Claiborne County Rescue Squad is a non-paid volunteer emergency department, whose volunteers spend many hours of their personal time conducting emergency operations, training, vehicle and building maintenance, and hind raising activities in order to help those in need.
