Mrs. Myrtle Lena Buchanan, age 92 of Tazewell, TN was born December 6, 1915 and passed away November 6, 2008 at the Claiborne County Nursing Home. She was a lifelong member of Union Chapel Baptist Church. She was united in marriage to Arch Buchanan, Jr. May 10, 1933. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arch Buchanan, Jr; parents, Harmon and Florence Winstead Essary, four brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by one Daughter: Carolyn Ferguson Jennings and husband Ray Jennings; one Grandson: Scott Ferguson; Sister: Doris Essary all of Tazewell, TN; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Sunday November 9, 2008 at the Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell with funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. Sunday night in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service 10 a.m. Monday in the Fairview Cemetery. Ministers: Rev. Bill Duncan and Rev. Frank Short; Singer: Barbara Hatfield; Pallbearers: Ronnie Essary, Roger Essary, Arnold Essary, Allen Pressnell, Ronnie Pressnell, Dennis Bunch, Jeff Estes.
