Three people were hurt in a two-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon.

According to Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Jason Maxey, a Nissan Sentra was traveling southbound on Hwy. 33 crossed the center line and hit a Chevrolet truck traveling northbound. The driver and passenger from the car, as well as the driver of the truck, were transported to Claiborne County Hospital.

The wreck occurred around 2:15 p.m. just north of the intersection of Hwy. 33 and Chumley Road, near Boot Barn.

Along with the THP, Claiborne County Sheriff's Department, South Claiborne Fire Department and Claiborne County EMS responded.
