Cynthia Tipton was presented her 10-year service award followed up by Carol Brandon being presented two awards - the 20-year service award and the Epsilon Sigma Phi, distinguished service award as given by the Tennessee Omega Chapter.
In other business Chairman David Mundy brought up the need to name a Vice-Chairman and Bill Brooks’ name was offered up but he declined, yielding instead to Dennis Estes who was promptly voted in as Vice-Chairman.
Heiskell then brought special attention to Mr. Brooks, who has been a leader in the community for several years. Dr. Tim Cross then spoke a few words on behalf of the program at the state level and congratulated everyone for their service on this committee. After a short talk about the formation of a Farmer’s Market the meeting adjourned.
