Saturday, February 14th- LMU faced the Golden Rams from West Chester, nationally ranked at number ten in the nation in a three game series over the weekend. In game one the Railsplitters proved to be a worthy opponent by taking game one 7-6. The game started off great for LMU as Cody Pack deposited the first pitch of the game over the centerfield wall for a lead off homer. The LMU starting pitcher Mitch Kramer got the win but overall the LMU throwers gave up 10 hits. LMU batters also recorded 10 hits. During game two Jeff Ludlow got the loss but the LMU pitching kept the scoring down. Unfortunately the Railsplitters fell in this game by a score of 3-2. In the final game of the series LMU fell again to the Golden Rams by a score of 5-2. Sean Woolard got the loss for the ‘Splitters but the play that LMU brought into the series let other opponents know that the LMU team would be a force to contend with when rolling into Harrogate. LMU invites everyone to come out on Saturday the 25th to watch the Railsplitters in action versus Virginia Intermont at 1:00 pm.
