The week was a good one for the Railsplitter softball team as they were on a four-game winning streak. The tenth-ranked Bears came into Harrogate and took both games of a two game series. In game one the Railsplitters got down early but rallied to gain the lead in the third inning. The Bears tied the game the following inning and went on to a 5-3 victory. LMU pitcher Brittany Stuive got the start but Brooklyn Jimison came in the game for relief work and recorded the loss. It was her 6th loss of the season against her 6 wins. LMU pitching combined gave up 13 hits. Offensively Sara Henn continued her good work behind the plate as she hit her second homerun. In game two the Bears opened with 6 runs in the first inning and went on to the victory 12-5 on 13 hits. LMU pitcher Brittany Stuive got the loss dropping her record to 7-2. Sara Henn got her third homerun of the season but as a whole the team only produced 4 hits. The LMU season record fell to 13-11 and the team hopes to get back on its winning ways on the 24th as they travel to Greeneville to face rival Tusculum.
