Harrogate, TN- LMU welcomed Wingate to town to play a three game series of all-important SAC games. The Railsplitters lost the first two games on Saturday by scores of 14-0 and 1-0. In game one Wingate looked to be of minor-league quality as they simply overpowered the ‘Splitters. In game two the Railsplitters buckled down and made a contest of it and lost by a single run. On Sunday LMU got some revenge as they kept Wingate from getting the series sweep. Along with that, the ‘Splitters kept their chances of securing a post-season SAC tournament birth with an 11-1 win. The Railsplitters will need to sweep the upcoming series against Newberry and hope that Wingate will have a bad weekend against Carson Newman according to the LMU Sports Information department. The Railsplitters have a great season record at 28-17 but have fallen to 7-12 in SAC play. The last home contest will be on Tuesday April 14th against Berea.
