Stolen tractor recovered

A Tractor reported stolen in the Greers Chapel area of Claiborne County has been recovered by The Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office and an arrest has been made.

According to Sheriff David Ray, Detective G.H. Ruszkowski and Officer Michael Coffey were able to recover the tractor in the Harrogate area after receiving information regarding the stolen tractor.

Sheriff Ray stated that on Thursday April 23, 2009 Det. G.H. Ruszkowski arrested Daniel S. Massengill, 37, of Harrogate, and charged him with Burglary and Theft over $1,000.00.

Massengill is currently being held in The Claiborne County Jail awaiting his court date set for Thursday, April 30, 2009.

What does a thief need with a tractor? It's not like they're going to do any work. If they were, they wouldn't be a thief in the first place.
