CCRS 7th Annual Bass Fishing Tournament

The Claiborne County Rescue Squad Seventh Annual Bass Fishing Tournament was held on April 11, 2009 at Norris Lake – Cedar Grove Marina on Highway 33 South. Fifty-five boats entered the tournament, resulting in a weigh-in of over 297 pounds of fish at the end of the day. Winners of the tournament were:

1st Prize - $900.00: Clifford Bunch and Paul Napier (Boat #23) – weight 17.32 lbs

2nd Prize - $450.00: Doug Hampton and Kevin Gregory (Boat#63) – weight 13.94 lbs

3rd Prize - $350.00 Ronnie Hopson and Brandy Hopson (Boat #58) – weight 13.44 lbs

4th Prize - $200.00 Jason Hill and Tim Hawkins (Boat #47) weight 13.20 lbs

5th Prize - $150.00 Bob Cannon and Barry Guthrie (Boat #46) – weight 13.15 lbs

6th Prize - $75.00 Casey Hall and Fats Helton (Boat #18) – weight 11.96 lbs

7th Prize - $50.00 Arlie Napier and Brad Barton (Boat #51) – weight 11.78 lbs

Doug Hampton and Kevin Gregory won big fish with a weight of 5.24 lbs. Next years’ tournament will be held on April 10, 2010 – Mark your calendar!

The Rescue Squad would like to thank those who fished the tournament as well as all sponsors of the tournament. Special thanks to Cedar Grove Marian who hosted the tournament.

The Claiborne County Rescue Squad is a non-paid volunteer emergency department, whose volunteers spend many hours of their personal time conducting emergency operations, training, vehicle and building maintenance, and fund raising activities in order to help those in need.
