TACKETT CREEK -- A Claiborne County man was found safe Monday afternoon after a search by three departments.

Danny Gent, 50, was found in the Tackett Creek area of Cumberland Mountain around 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Gent was reported missing Friday, according to Sheriff David Ray.

The sheriff also says Gent is wanted for violation of probation out of Union County. He'll be examined, then taken to the Claiborne County Sheriff's Department.

A Claiborne County deputy and a member of the rescue squad were injured during the search for Gent. The two were riding a four-wheeler.

The pair was taken to a hospital in Middlesboro, Kentucky. Their names and details about their injuries haven't been released.

Approximately 25 people were searching for Gent. Earlier Monday, they found Gent's Jeep with the tires removed.

Gent's niece, Renee, says he left his Jeep on the mountain and went back to get it.

The search party was made up of members of the Claiborne County Rescue Squad, Speedwell Fire Department and the sheriff's department
