James Franklin (Frank) "White Bird" Yoakum, age 77, of Speedwell, Tn.,
was born April 21, 1932 and passed away on June 7, 2009 at his home. He
was a faithful member of Carr’s Chapel Baptist Church. He served in the Army from 1955-1957 in the US and in Germany. He hauled milk from Powell Valley to Knoxville and Athens, Tn .for 42 years. In his retirement years he was an avid gardener. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Myrtle (Williams) Yoakum.
He is survived by his: Loving Wife of 54 years: Ruby (Ellison) Yoakum of Speedwell, Tn., Loving Daughter and son-in-law: Ginger and David Hamilton of Harrogate,
Tn., His grandchildren who were the loves of his life: Ashley Nicole and Jace David Hamilton of Harrogate, Tn. And a host of other relatives and friends.
Family received friends from 6-9 Pm, Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at
Coffey Funeral Home in Harrogate. Funeral services were held at 11:00Am, Wed., June 10, 2009, at Carr's Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. David Bolton and Rev. Jim Yeary officiating.
Burial in the Beeler Cemetery with Military Honors.
