Barbara Sue Evans age 61 of New Tazewell, TN born April 23, 1948 passed away June 23, 2009 at her home. She was a member of the Riverview Baptist Church and a life long resident of Claiborne County. She was preceded in death by her: Parents: Jet and Della Laws, Sister: Vestina Minton

She is survived by her: Companion: Jerry Mackins of Tazewell, TN, Sons: Dennis Evans and wife Deana of Harrogate, TN, Carlos Lee Evans and wife Cora of Tazewell, TN, James Edward Evans of Tazewell, TN, Daughter: Sheila Ann Monty and husband Ivan of Tazewell, TN, Rondia Sue Cosby and husband Terry of Harrogate, TN, Brother: Williard Laws and wife Rachel of Harrogate, TN, Sister: Molly Mason of Harrogate, TN, Grandchildren: Amber Leann Alston of Ohio, Heather May Alston of Tazewell, TN, Edward Gary Alston II of Tazewell, TN, Matthew Allen Evans of Harrogate, TN, Ashlley Marie Evans of Harrogate, TN, Daniel Keith Cosby of Harrogate, TN, Step grandchildren: Joshua Mason of Harrogate, TN, Michelle Mason of Tazewell, TN, Jennifer Teague of Tazewell, TN, David Teague of Frakes, KY. And a host of other relatives and friends

The family received friends Thursday, June 25, 2009 from 5 until 8PM at Claiborne Funeral Home. Funeral services were conducted Friday, June 26, 2009 at 10:00AM at Riverview Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Baker and Rev. John Baker officiating. Mike and Bessie Daniels, Doug Bussell, and Allen Cosby provided music. Burial followed in the Scott Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Eddie Minton, Eddie Minton, Jr., Jeff McGeorge, Brandon McGeorge, Trent Bussell, and Terry Cosby.

Honorary pallbearers: James McDonald and Tony Eads.

Claiborne Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
