The Modified Madness at Tazewell Speedway originally scheduled for September 19th has been rescheduled for Saturday night October 3rd. Rain had threathened the enitire east Tennessee area this past Saturday yet had left track dry. Qualifying for the Modified Street, Pure Street and 4 Cylinders had already been completed. Jody Horton earned fast time honors in Modified Street and set a new track qualifying record in the process. Only a handful of Limited Late Models were left to qualify before the skies opened up completely leaving the track a muddy mess.

The Modified Madness will be ran on Octboer 3rd with $700 to win in a 35 lap feature. The top four in qualifying have been inverted for the six lap dash for cash. Warren McMahan and Robbie Buchanan will be on the front row of the dash with Allen Holt and Jody Horton in the second row of the dash. The rest of the field for the Modified Madness has already been set from qualifying.

All Limited Late Models will re-qualify on the 3rd. The starting lineups for the Pure Street and 4 Cylinder features have been set. Any cars Modified Street, Pure Street or 4 Cylinders cars that show up on the 3rd that were not in attendance on September 19th will have to start on the tail of the field. Armbands and tickets from the postponed race on September 19th will only be honored for the race on October 3rd.

Our next race at The Bad Fast Tazewell Speedway will be this Saturday night September 26 with a full schedule of racing including Super Late Models, Limited Late Models, Modified Street, Pure Street and 4 Cylinders. For more info visit www.TazewellSpeedway.net or call 423.626.2222.
