Aves Lougene Bolton Duncan was born August 14, 1918 to Elmer and Rellie (Minton) Bolton and went to be with her Lord on December 11, 2009 at the Claiborne County Hospital in Tazewell, TN. On September 14, 1935, she was married to Clearance Edward (Ed) Duncan. She was a member of Duncan Chapel Baptist Church. She was a homemaker. She loved to quilt and sew. She had resided at Claiborne County Nursing Home for 4 ½ years where she made many friends with the staff. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two grandsons, Joey and Lynn Duncan; son-in-law, Jack Baker; two infant sisters, Elizabeth Bolton and Eva Bolton; five brothers, Ulysses, Bob, Everett, George, and John Bolton.

She is survived by her three children: Betty Widner and husband Paul of New Tazewell, Janice Baker of Pendleton, Ind, John E. Duncan and wife Dian of New Tazewell, TN, Grandchildren: Barbara Begley and husband Mike, Patricia Large and husband David, Tina Covington and husband Glenn, Debbie Saunders and husband Mark, Ruth Taylor and husband Eric Eddie Baker, 10 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren, one sister-in-law: Paralee Bolton of New Tazewell, TN, several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family received friends from 6 until 8 P.M. Monday at the Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell.

Funeral service 1:00 P.M. Tuesday December 15, 2009 at the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in the Baldwin-Duncan Cemetery
