Mrs. Etta Lee (Stansberry) Barker age 79 of New Tazewell was born June 20, 1930 and passed away December 20, 2009 at Claiborne County Hospital. She professed faith in Christ at an early age and was a member of Little Barren Missionary Baptist Church. She was also a member of Straight Creek Women’s Group.

She is preceded in death by her: Husband: Ernest (Snook) Barker; Sisters: Nell Hopson and Hazel Arnwine; Brothers: Johnny Stansberry, Robert Stansberry and Roy Stansberry

She is survived by her: Sons: Stanley Barker and wife Gail of New Tazewell, TN, Steve Barker and wife Libby of New Tazewell, TN, Rick Barker and wife Diane of New Tazewell, TN, Kenny Barker of New Tazewell, TN; Daughter: Missy Noah of Tazewell, TN; Grandchildren: Amy Bullen, Chris Barker, Ernie Barker and wife Amanda, Stephanie Fletcher and husband Tim, Whitney Murray and husband David, Makenley Barker, Alex Noah, Bradley Collins and wife Kari and Brittany Cupp. Great-Grandchildren: Samuel Bullen, Hannah Bullen and Hunter Fletcher; Sisters: Alice Harrell of Knoxville, TN; Mattie Lee Herrell of New Tazewell, TN; Brother: J.B. Stansberry and wife Lucille of Knoxville, TN; Uncle: Hop Stansberry of New Tazewell, TN; Sisters-in-law: Opha Stansberry of Sharps Chapel, TN; Bonnie Calton of New Tazewell, TN. And a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Family received friends Monday, December 21, 2009 from 6PM until 8PM at Claiborne Funeral Home. Funeral services conducted 11AM Tuesday, December 22, 2009 in the Claiborne Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend L.B. Harrell, Doug Atkins and Larry Beeler officiating.

Music provided by Dwight Smith and Brenda Cupp.

Burial followed in the Beason Cemetery.
