Everett Singleton age 76 of Tazewell, was born August 20 , 1933 passed away on December 24, 2009 at his home. He was a local minster and sang with the singleton family & Buster Turner. He was a member of Raven Hill Baptist Church. He was self-employed working at a sawmill and bull dozing; he also drove a truck for Joe Riddle and farmed. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul & Ethel Holt Singleton; son, Tommy Singleton; brothers, Bill & Norman Singleton.

The family received friends Saturday December 26, 2009 at the Coffey Funeral home Chapel in Tazewell from 4-6pm. The funeral services were Sunday December 27 at 11:00am at the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, burial in the Epperson Cemetery. Ministers: Rev Roy Acuff, Rev. Johnny Brown, Rev. Gary "Pete" McDaniel, with the Clinch Valley Singers and Tanya Knuckles.
