Jessie Dean Mullins, "Papaw Jess" age 65 of Tazewell TN passed away peacefully at his home on July 5, 2010 with his entire family by his side. Jess was known for his outgoing personality and willingness to help others. Jess's public service included The United States Army Reserve as well as Alderman for the City of Tazewell. Jess was also instrumental in providing the funding for the first Jaws of Life for the Claiborne County Rescue Squad. His life careers included many occupations but the one most recent was his business, Rebel Bonding Company. Jess was saved and Baptized and was a member of Caney Valley Christian Church. He was recognized as a young boy for never missing a day of Sunday School. Jess is preceded in death by his son, Jessie Dean Mullins II, Father, Ben Mullins, Brother Terry Mullins, Sisters: Lola Epperson and Cloda Bailey.

Jess leaves behind his devoted wife Linda Tabor Mullins, children: Son Jessie "Dean" Mullins III and wife Samantha. Daughters: Melissa Bunch and Husband Will, Stephanie Weaver and husband Jamie, Jessica Mullins. Grandchildren include: Blaine Grissom, Todd Rainwater, Katelyn Garrison, Evan Weaver, Kobe Kelley, Ana Kae Kelley, Tristan Mullins and Kinley Mullins. Mother Ruth Mullins. Brothers: JW Mullins, Douglas Mullins and Ben Mullins Jr. Sisters: Bennie Mae Ferguson and Peggy Anderson. He leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews. The family would like to especially thank Jess's niece, Susie Love, RN who personally cared for Jess during his final hours.

The family will be receiving friends at Coffey Funeral Home of Tazewell on Wednesday July 7th from 6-9 PM and the funeral with graveside burial to follow on Thursday, July 8th at 11 AM. Officiating the services at Jess's request will be his son Reverand Dean Mullins and Preacher John Hatifeld. David Stanifer will deliver the Eulogy.

Pallbearers include: Billy Joe White, Bill Debusk, Hollis Bussell, Ronnie Collinsworth, Roy Lee Parker, Zack Mullins, Larry Epperson, Joel Epperson, Lynn Bailey and Neal Meyers.
