The Cumberland Gap High School golf program had a great season, with Carley Downhour leading the way on the girl’s team. Downhour made it to the regional competition and won it by shooting a 78 and surviving a three-hole playoff at the Elizabethton Country Club. With her great finish, Downhour moved on to play in the Tennessee High School Golf Championships that were held at Willowbrook Golf Club in Coffee County, starting Sept. 26. She shot extremely well and finished in fourth place at the state competition and made her school and team proud.
