Local fire departments recognized

<p>Photo submitted</p> <p>England, Inc. recently hosted a reception to honor Claiborne County’s nine fire departments. Local mayors and other dignitaries joined members of the England management and supervisory teams to recognize the service local firefighters provide to the entire community. In a presentation ceremony, each fire department received a donation funded by the La-Z-Boy Foundation. Terry England, president of England, Inc., described the event as “a way to acknowledge and edify this very deserving group of people who risk their lives helping others in their time of greatest need.” In addition, Claiborne County 911 Director Roger Hager was given special recognition for receiving the Tennessee Emergency Number Association Award for 2017. England, Inc. awarded Hager with a certificate for a free recliner in honor of his achievement.</p>
