Lady Panthers rout Lady Indians

The Lady Panthers and the Lady Indians met on the hardwood Dec. 19 and Cumberland Gap got the advantage early and went on to win big at 63-27.

It was a 16-point Lady Panthers first period that propelled them into an early lead that they would not relinquish. They pulled away even more during the second period by outscoring the Lady Indians 16-8.

Hayli England came out of the halftime break and put 12 of her game leading 19 points on the board. The 19-6 run all but secured the deal for the Lady Panthers. They did however, outscore the Lady Indians 11-7 in the final period to win the game 63-27.

Hayley Wilson had 15 for CGHS and Hannah Heath also dropped in double figures with 10 points. Alyssa Pierce had seven, Tabitha Roy had six points and three others recorded two points each: Emma Brooks, Brook McMichael and Brittany Bean.

Hancock was led by Karlie Bowlin with 14 points.
