Alma Harmon’s 90th birthday was celebrated March 4. She enjoyed a preaching service with family and friends at Head of Barren Baptist Church. It was followed by a great lunch at the fellowship hall prepared by church members. The rest of the day was filled with cake, refreshments, gifts, lots of fun and laughter. She was described on a bookmark made in her honor as a wife, mother, granny, sister, friend, great cook, faithful church member, Bible reader, prayer warrior and best of all — a child of the king. She received 167 birthday cards, some of which were sent through the mail. The family would like to thank everyone that came by to see her, sent a card or participated in any way.
