Judge Robert Estep processed several plea agreements recently, during hearings in Claiborne Sessions Court.

Curtis Lee Carroll, 25, charged with two counts of domestic assault and one count of driving on a suspended license, was sentenced to a concurrent 11 months, 29 days ETHRA supervised probation. Carroll must pay at least $75 per month in court costs and fines. He is barred from any unlawful contact with his victims. Carrol must make efforts to gain employment. His driver’s license is revoked per the Tennessee Department of Safety.

Gary Wayne Ruby, 43, charged with evading arrest and driving on a revoked license, was sentenced to a concurrent 11 months, 29 days ETHRA supervised probation with 16 days confinement. Ruby was given credit for 16 days of jail time already served. He must pay at least $75 per month in court costs and fines.

Larry Combs, 42, charged with passing worthless checks and public intoxication, was sentenced to a concurrent 11 months, 29 days ETHRA supervised probation with five days confinement. Combs was given credit for five days of jail time already served. He must pay $1,503.15 in restitution to KNK Metals and forfeits $75 to the Economic Crime Fund. As a condition of his probationary status, Combs must pay all court costs, fines and restitution in full by April 8. He is eligible for unsupervised probation, once found fully compliant.

Ira M. Sweet, 54, charged with driving under the influence and possession of drug paraphernalia, was sentenced to a concurrent 11 months, 29 days ETHRA supervised probation with two days confinement. He must pay at least $75 per month in court costs and fines. His driver’s license is revoked per the Tennessee Department of Safety.

Paul Douglas McAfee, 56, charged with possession of methamphetamine, driving on a revoked/suspended license and violation of the financial responsibility law, was sentenced to a concurrent 11 months, 29 days ETHRA supervised probation with 30 days confinement. McAfee must pay at least $125 per month in court costs and fines. His driver’s license is revoked per the Tennessee Department of Safety. This sentence runs consecutively to a VA case.

Robert L. Johnson, 50, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and driving on a revoked license. Johnson was sentenced to a concurrent 11 months, 29 days ETHRA supervised probation with 30 days confinement, to be served on consecutive weekends beginning on April 6. He must pay at least $75 per month in court costs and fines.

Dale T. Ramsey, 39, charged with possession/casual exchange of methamphetamine, was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days ETHRA supervised probation with 30 days confinement. Ramsey was given credit for ten days of jail time already served. He may serve the remainder of his confinement on consecutive weekends. Ramsey must pay at least $100 per month in court costs and fines.

Tristan Tanner Bridges, 19, charged with the simple possession of hydrocodone, a schedule II drug, was granted a deferred judgment of one year and ordered to pay all court costs in full the day of his hearing. Bridges was granted unsupervised probation based on his enlisting in the U.S. military.

Nicholas Wayne Lundy, 31, charged with possession of marijuana, a schedule VI controlled substance, was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days ETHRA supervised probation. He must pay at least $75 per month in court costs and fines.

Tessa D. Marcum, 19, charged with theft under $1,000 (shoplifting), was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days probation. As a condition of her probationary status, Marcum was ordered to pay all court costs and fines in full the day of her hearing. She forfeits $75 to the Economic Crime Fund. Marcum is barred forever from the Walmart property.

Lisa Leonard, 34, charged with theft under $1,000 (shoplifting), was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days ETHRA supervised probation with 70 days confinement. Leonard was given credit for 70 days of jail time already served. She must pay at least $50 per month in court costs and fines and forfeits $75 to the Economic Crime Fund. Leonard must pay $3 in restitution to the New Tazewell Walmart. She is barred from the Walmart property. This sentence runs concurrently with a violation of probation, in which Leonard was ordered to complete an alcohol and drug assessment within 30 days of release. She was sentenced to an additional six months of supervised probation for failure to report, to complete an alcohol and drug assessment, to submit to random drug screenings and for nonpayment of court costs, fines and supervision fees while on probation.
