New Beginning Christian Academy

New Beginning Christian Academy (NBCA) is considering adding a 3-and 4-year-old Preschool to the Christian School for the 2018-2019 school year, beginning in August. If you or someone you know would be interested in sending your child to a Preschool with Biblical values and curriculum, please come to a Preschool Interest Meeting on April 26, at 6 p.m. Please contact the school office at 423-869-7378 or Pastor Donnie Bannister at 423-526-4491 if you have questions. Sugar Grove Baptist Church

The regular monthly singing will be April 28 at 7 p.m. Special singers will be Gospel Lights, Goins Family and Wayne Carpenter. Tom Louthan, pastor.

Tri-State Youth Choir

The Tri-State Youth Choir is now performing in local churches. The choir, in existence for over 30 years, ministers to local churches and then travels on a mission trip to another area. Performances coming up include: April 29, Dogwood Heights Baptist Church in Tazewell; May 6, Trinity Baptist Church in Middlesboro; May 20, Midway Baptist Church in New Tazewell; May 27, Pump Springs Baptist Church in Harrogate. All performances begin at 6 p.m. The annual dinner and auction, the choir’s major fundraiser, will be held May 11 at Pump Springs Baptist Church. Everyone is invited to attend the performances and activities.

Grace Missionary Baptist Church

Revival service will begin April 29. Sunday night service 6 p.m., week night service at 7 p.m. Preachers will be Jerry Epperson and Randy Beeler. Pastor Rev. Charlie Widner welcomes everyone.

Clinch Valley American Christian Church

Clinch Valley American Christian Church will be having a singing on April 29 at 6 p.m. Everyone welcome. Rev. Randy Collins, pastor.

Mt. Zion Pentecostal Holiness Tabernacle

Homecoming will be May 2-5, 7 p.m., Saturday, at noon. The church is located at 230 Indian Creek Road, Harrogate. Dennis Heath from Texarkana, Arkansas, will be preaching. Pastor, Drew Munafo.

St. Teresa of Kolkata Catholic Church

The annual rummage sale will be May 4 from 8 am. until 4 p.m. and May 5 from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. The church is located at 4365 Maynardville Hwy., Maynardville. All proceeds benefit the church building fund.

Fairview Baptist Church

There will be a singing service May 6, with the Large Family singing. Sunday School starts at 10 a.m., worship at 11 a.m. and Sunday evening worship is at 6 p.m. Everyone welcome. Rev. Adam Daniels, pastor.

New Tazewell United Methodist Church

The New Tazewell United Methodist Church is hosting a series of medical related meetings called “Doc Talks” the second Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. The meetings are free and open to the public. The next meeting will be May 10. The church is located at 965 Old Knoxville Road, New Tazewell, across from Coffey Funeral Home.

Davis Creek Primitive Baptist Church

There is a singing, fellowship and a potluck supper every third Saturday from 5-7 p.m. The next one is scheduled for May 19. The church is located in Speedwell.

Locust Grove Church

Revival services will begin on May 23 at 7 p.m. with Tommy Frye from Blaines Chapel Church preaching, and continue nightly. Homecoming will be May 26, 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Covered dish dinner starting at 11 a.m. Rev. Tommy Russell will be preaching.

Seals Chapel Decoration

Seals Chapel decoration will be May 27. Service will start at 10 a.m. Lunch will be served after. Bring a covered dish, drinks will be furnished. Come and join us in worship and fellowship. Pastor, Scott Morris.

Midway Baptist Church

Midway Baptist Church welcomes everyone to a daytime Christian Bible study (in the basement) where people are growing in their faith, modeling the hospitality and generosity of God, embracing God’s call to missions and becoming more knowledgeable of God’s Holy Word. Enjoy fellowship with fellow Christians. Bring your own Bible. The study is from 11 a.m. until noon on the first and third Tuesday of each month. Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church

Claiborne County Ministerial Association

Pastors and preachers of Claiborne County, the Claiborne County Ministerial Association needs your help. We now only have a few members. We do volunteer chaplain work at Claiborne Medical Center and 15-minute Daily Devotions on WNTT Radio. If God leads you to be a part of this ministry, we meet once a month at the Claiborne Medical Center conference room on the fourth Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. For further information call 865-585-7112. FBC Deaf and Hearing Impaired Worship

Free Drug Testing Kits

The Stand in the Gap coalition (SIGCO) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, faith-based organization and is providing free saliva based drug testing kits with instructions. They are called “give me a reason” (GMAR) kits. Anyone with questions about or needing to obtain GMAR kits or information regarding addiction treatment or anyone interested in getting involved with SIGCO or volunteering in the office, with the jail ministry or in any other area of SIGCO can call the Stand in the Gap office, located at 502 Pennlyn Ave. in Cumberland Gap, at 423-300-1302. Regional Education Center

The Regional Education Center, an FBC Ministry Center, is located at 1724 Epps Street in Tazewell. They distribute food boxes on Tuesday mornings from 9 a.m. to noon. Residents of Claiborne County need to bring proof of residence and income. The center is located behind the courthouse in Tazewell.

Thompson Chapel United Methodist Church
