Middlesboro ARH Hospital invites ladies in the community to its women’s health series called Lunch & Learn.

Lunch & Learn offers insight and tips on a variety of women’s health issues. On July 26, general surgeon Amber Peace, DO, will give a presentation on “Gall Bladder Disease.”

Dr. Peace earned her medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University, Debusk College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed her general surgery residency at Michigan State University, Henry Ford Health System.

Dr. Peace specializes in advanced laparoscopic procedures including gallbladder removal, appendectomies, hernia repair and breast, colon and rectal cancer surgeries. Dr. Peace also performs colonoscopies, endoscopies and wound care. Her office is located in the new clinic — ARH Cumberland Valley Medical and Surgical Associates, located at 3504 West Cumberland Avenue.

Adult women of all ages are invited to the Lunch & Learn series. The lunch will be held in the hospital classroom, which is located near the MRI entrance at the back of the hospital. Lunch will be served at noon with the program starting by 12:15 p.m. and ending at 12:45 p.m. Lunch is free and there will be a drawing for a large door prize.
