Congressman John Duncan recently visited the old Richie School in the Liberty community to inform the residents that a grant for phase two of a waterline project along Little Sycamore Road has been approved. The grant, for $350,000, was approved by the Appalachian Regional Commission in Washington D.C. Phase one has already been completed. The waterline is for 500 feet off the main road for voluntary hook up.
“I’m so pleased that this grant was approved and I am really happy for the folks in the Liberty area,” Duncan said.
