The Panthers baseball team battled the Green Devils from Greenville, March 27, at Cumberland Gap High School. The Green Devils won the previous day in Greenville and Cumberland Gap wanted badly to tie the series at 1-1. It looked good for the Panthers early as they took a lead in the opening inning but were unable to keep the Devils behind. The game went into extra innings and the Panthers needed two runs to extend the game but fell one run short with the final score being 5-4 during an eight inning contest.
