Muriel Crockett, age 85, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana passed away on October 19, 2023 at Richwood Nursing Home in Lawrenceburg. She was born on March 21, 1938, in Middlesboro, Kentucky the daughter of Ishmael and Naomi (Rowlett) Crockett. Muriel has always been a hard worker, starting with growing up on the farm in Tennessee. After she married, she worked as a beautician in Michigan for many years then worked in the factory for Beechum. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Larry) Banek; three grandchildren, Meagan, Leslie, and Nathan Banek; one brother, David Crockett; two sisters, Kathleen (Clarence) Ballew and Bennie Jo Morris; and many nieces, nephews, great grandchildren; other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Norman Harris; three brothers, Dee Crockett, Troy Crockett, and her twin brother, Earl Crockett; and one sister, Gennell Noah. Private services are being held with burial following in Venice Cemetery in Ross, Ohio. If desired, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
